I agree with the judge's decision but I don't understand why she won money if the books weren't even published yet. The money she was awarded problaby didn't pay for one hour of legal advice so what was the point.

Why would the published web site be considered a copyright violation but not the actual web site? It seems that if one type of publication is found in violation of copyright law, both types should be.

I don't really understand why JK Rowling would need to sue anyone over this material. It has made her a multimillionaire. I guess that's just me.

I think sometimes we do things for the simple reason of making a point. Yes, JKRowling is a mega millionaire, but someone was stealing her work, and blatently so. She expressed herelf in such a way that others thinking they can make a buck from her very successful ideas will think twice.

I'm not sure Rowlings' point was money, perhaps it was but she owns the ideas. I think she should eb the one to benefit financially from them.
